The number of young people struggling with ill mental health is on the rise. Our Senior Group (11-18’s) provides a safe space for young people where we facilitate honest discussions about what’s going on in their lives and how we can support one another to overcome issues we are currently facing. While the direction of the groups is organic and very much young people-oriented, the facilitators always have an intended outcome for every session, whether that is better understanding how we might experience low mood or anxiety, or simply how to increase our life satisfaction by challenging low self-esteem and confidence.
Ideally, those who engage in the long-term with the group will go on to overcome their biggest challenges and then support their peers who are themselves struggling.
